Draft Problem Statement For Report With Preliminary Scholarly Sources
Question: Applying this sporting case example to a business team context, what do you think are key elements ofchange management? Answer: After study the case carefully I would like to say that what Ange Postecoglou did for Brisbane Roar football (soccer) team is unforgettable. He made some significant changes to the team and training. He had future vision that he could have failed in short term but he can win or make his team win in long term. He had a believer in himself that he can do something for his team. So that he continued in his own path and reached his team to a winning glory. Not only in football but it is also in the relationship with its fans and spectators (Soderman, 2013). After managing few seasons he quit his job from Brisbane Roar football (soccer) team and took the charge of rival team Melbourne Victory. Although he lost, his first footballs match against his old team. But I would say that this move of Ange Postecoglou is very much harmful to Brisbane Roar football club. As other, team started their scrutinized by the other team. They will start making their plan to play against them (Bridgewater, 2010). They have the idea of the playing style of the club. So it would be difficult for a new manager to continue the level of performance of the club and the same skills to manage a elite football team is needed. As he would be in new condition and new sets of players and supporting staff in his team his work would be tough. It would also be tough to change the style of Play and implement his own style because the players are used to another playing style and training style. So it would be really hard for the new manager to make impact in the team and show the success to the club. The club may face some difficulties too. They may face some defeat in the league (Urrutia and Others, 2010). They also may face fans grievarance. But they need to wait as well as it is needed to believe in the team and manager. The fa ns need to be patient. The players also may face some trouble to adopt the new style of playing under new manager. But they also try to work hard and adopt the new the style of playing for the sake the club and Fans. References: Bridgewater, S. (2010). Football management. Basingstoke: Palgrave Macmillan.
